I am thingking of buyimng a 28 ft trailer to haul 4 162 sleds around, I was wondering if I will still have room for 2 drums of race fuel and a tool chest??

Does anyone have any pictures of how they store fuel.

Thanks

Is it a V-nose or a box? If you have a 24' rectangle or better you will make it. Do you have a nose door and a rear door? If just a rear door I would put the fuel in the nose of the trailer or maybe the bed of the truck. If you have 2 doors rig up the real door so you can strap the drums too it. Also, I learned when I loaded truck for a summer that you need to put bunting under the drums. You can use 4-5 sheets of cardboard. They warned us if we didn't the bottom of the drums would flex up and down and crack and leak. More likely if you re-use the same drums over and over. Try and swap them out now and then, the fuel companies won't care. Also, it's relatively easy to roll the drums on the rim by tipping them up a little to move them around or get a drum dolly which will be way easier.

I guess it depends on the size of your tool chest. We've ran 4 sleds in a 27' with 2 drums. I would say yes you should be able to no problem. Might be a little crowded untill you pull some sleds out.

I have a 24 foot Square with a 5 foot V nose. I can get 5 163 longtracks in it. I have some cabinets in the fron along the side of the V.

You could get the drums of fuel in the middle if you put the 2 in front forward and back the 2 in from the rear. Leaves alot of room in the midle this way.

We had 4 sleds and tons of stuff including riding gear and toolboxes along with several 5 gallon cans of race fuel on our trip to Canada las March.

Its a v nose, I dont want them between the sleds so I guess I will store it beside the chest at the front

i have a 21' on square, plus the v-nose, two 162s in the back and a 153ish in the front, large craftsmen top and bottom fits in the v-nose, 1 drum, small gen, tons of other stuff, so yes...all this plus another sled will fit in a proper 4 place no problem
