Driving Kamloops BC to Boise Id. whats best?

Im looking at 2 options and I know some of ya have made this trip.

Option 1 - 27' trailer behind 3/4 diesel and stay in the trailer for 5 days. Whats the best route - how long would the drive be? (hills would be big concern)

Option 2 - small V6 SUV and small trailer (suv wont know trailer is behind it) with single sled and stay in hotel. Again what route - how long.

Oh this would be end of August.

Thanx y'all.
Tyler

If you are delivering a sled, throw it in the back of the deisel and then stay in a motel. Drive 65 for better fuel economy. Its a long trip anyways thru the hills and you'll have to slow down anyways :)

IF I remember right, it was an easy drive thru Penticton then cross the border over at Grand Forks into 395, to Spokane then 195 to Lewiston, to 95 thru Mccall to Boise.

Awwww...are you coming to visit me? :D

If you're hauling the longer trailer I'd take this route: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/Kamloops+BC+V2C+3P1/Boise+ID+83702/
It's less windy and mostly interstate. Plenty of opportunities to pull off at rest stops on the way. Drive time is at or around 12 hours.

If you're pulling the smaller trailer it's much more scenic to come straight down Idaho on HWY 95. This will put you through Bonners Ferry, Coeur d'Alene, Moscow, McCall and into Boise. Drive time is about the same so you may be able to make it in one pull - if you want to split the drive up keep in mind it's about 5 hours to Boise from Moscow, 2.5 hours from McCall to Boise.

Seems Im thinkin the same as y'all. I just got a new toy hauler and diesel truck to pull it and Ive made it back to the race track for the first time in couple years. I hope to make it to the rest of the races for the season and qualify to run in the race of champions at the NHRA Div 6 finals which are in Boise at the end of Aug. Hadnt considered the sled in truck option (would be a PIA for me to get in and out but I could get help on both ends) hmmm. Not trailering anything would be the simple and stress free. Hmmm indead.

thanx guys
