Allright, Opus and I have been chatting talking about our bum azz rides that we drive. I paid $200 for mine. Its a Chevy Citation, ill get photos in the meantime. But I thought this would be a good thread to talk amongst each other and post pics of the hunkin piles of crap that we drive.

I'm talking cars that if it broke down.........youd take the spare tire out and start walking down the road with and hitchhike  Anything goes.....pics would be great, stories would be awesome. So post a pic so we can make fun of your pile of junk car :D

Right on Nate!

255k miles on it now, 30mpg.

Well my mom has a 98' GMC Jimmy 4x4 that I *accidentally* smoked the original engine in it, put a second hand engine in it. 267,000Kms on it, numerous dents, dings, scratches and it smells like the dog inside. My folks are looking to retire it LOL. Granted it always starts and gets us home safely. How much longer it'll do that, I have no clue:rolleyes::D.

Heres to the jalopys that are always there to serve the purpose of being a parts getter/grocery getter/ fuel-economymobile:beer;

Well, alright. I drive a '89 Jeep Cherokee. :D I bought it two years ago (right before, i go my license) for $500 from a friend. I have actually put about that back into the thing to keep it going! Its got 191,000 miles and parts are now starting to wear down on me :(. It has gave a pimped out Civic a run, which i dont wanna brag or anything but, I won :D and a Chevy Cav a run which then again, I won :D
I've put it up against a Lamborghini, a Lightning, a Viper, an A4, an A6, a few 'Vettes, couple Civics, a Cav, and some other vehicles out there.

Yes, it is my daily driver.

we've got an ole 89 taurus with somewhere near 250k miles on it. we use that to get back and forth all the time on the farm. weve wanted to get something else as our part getter but this thing has a solid engine in it. i think we've replaced about everything we can except the engine

my uncle has an old buik and it has over 320k on it and all they have done is change the oil and put gas in it! takn out about 5 deer along the way too lol

I'm currently looking for a hooptie that would have enough left in it to get my azz back and forth to rawlins.

Anyone have an older 2 door civic they want to get rid of?

i got a 87 jetta turbo diesel. 6000000+ on it, insurance is 2 times what the car is worth, original clutch which is slipping like crazy now, overheats within 5 minutes of driving in town on a warm day, goes through tires like a hooker goes through jons, rusty, used to pull my sled until it lost power. i drive this pos everyday. actually went on a 7 hour trip the other day with it to look at a f150. on the good days and if i stay off gravel roads i'll get approx 50+mpg. on gravel it drops to about 40. its a huge pos but hasnt left me on the side of the road yet, and has always started even when the newer cars didnt. its for sale by the way

90 Ford Probe, blue and rust.

219k on it, rebuilt tranny that still sucks. Fan works on hgihest settings, AC works but I'm scared to use it. Idles like a SOB most days and runs rough up to 15 pmh. Leaks gas if it's plumb full, but it starts(after a few seconds) and has jumped my wifes 05 Taurus. Oh and it leaks exhaust, wipers are either full go or off, usually full go even on off. Have to shut the car off and manually park the wipers.

I'll get pics tonight. Oh I paid 750.

I forgot, the windows don't seal all the way. The hatchback opens hard and you can't lock the doors because you'll snap a key off trying to open them. In fact first day I had it, I went to go somewhere and the key I got with it was so damned old it broke off in the ignition. Had to hunt down the spare key 2 owners removed!

But I do have a full sized spare that clunks around in the trunk. Just not sure if I could get it out if I needed it.

I just bought an '89 GMC 2500 4x4 regular cab long box. FOR TWENTY BUCKS!:D

I drove it home put a battery in it, and drive it lots. It's not an economobile, but it gets slightly better fuel economy than the Cummins, and the chicks dig it.

89' Suburban 3/4 ton HD, back and forth to HS. It's got around 235k on her, beater, but the 99' vortec sb with an Edelbrock MPFI and the brand new th400, she'll keep ticking along for another 100k. Blows my mind, 4.11's and she gets 17mpg. For the summer I'll swap to a 90' acura legend, 208k and still spins to 6000 rpm!

runs awesum, can park it anywhere with the keys in it, and nobody has ever stolen it yet, 578k miles, and smokes like a 2 smoker. and the windows havent rolled up in 7 years. still gets 27mpg:face-icon-small-ton
