Driver differences

These are the drivers that I currently have on my 15 M8. Stock. I have a spare prolite track shaft and 8 tooth drivers I want to install onto the shaft since I got my sled torn apart I figured why not? Well the drivers I have came from a 13xf 800 and they are a little different...im wondering if the drivers are different because the proclimb chassis is intended to be rolled around and layed over?

13 style drivers

I noticed the procross style drivers have a provision in them to ride between the 2 lugs on eachside of the inside of the track so keep it aligned well im guessing. The M drivers don't have this, am I going to run into problems?

My observations from the two pictures: The XF drivers have a continuous round profile for more efficiency and speed. The mountain drivers are recessed between the teeth to let the track drop in and get maximum wrap around the teeth (like Avid cuts their mountain drivers). Mountain drivers might be a little lighter. Keep on top of your track tension and you shouldn't have a problem.

Also, just found that lighter drive sprockets were one of the 26 updates from 2013 to 2014: http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=350572&highlight=2014+updates

Hmm maybe ill just sell my 15 shaft and my spare drivers and the pro lite shaft and just buy an assembled prolite shaft lol i run my track as loose as i can so i don't wanna have to worry about it hoping over or doing something weird

Just got off the phone with bdx. They don't have any prolite shafts with the updated lighter weight 2014+ drivers on them...depressing

So im going to press my 2015 drivers off the original and re use on my prolite shaft...lightest option without going titanium

I pressed mine off and re-used them. it's not that bad of a process as long as you have access to a press and only press one off at a time. Be sure to measure where the drivers sit on the old shaft so you can get them lined up right again.
