Anyone know what the thickness of the 3 available washers/spacers is for spacing the driven clutch out? The part numbers are:

7555864
7555917
7556509

Thanks,

I use AUTOMOTIVE universal valve spring shims, they're 1" I.D. (Jack-shaft is 1" diameter) and come in a variety of different thicknesses.

Available at cylinder head rebuilding shops

A whole lot less expensive than the Polaris Dealer.

BTW, These also work on the chain-case side for getting the sprockets into perfect alignment using a metal straight-edge!

Are you talking about the spacer that goes in the 1/2" bolt or are you talking about the shims that go between the secondary helix and the jackshaft bearing?

Between the secondary and the bearing... for setting the clutch offset.

Thanks Kraven, I'll give that a shot.

Ok, don't know the thickness, but here is what I found after looking at them... I'll measure them with the calipers.

7555864 - Thickest
7555917 - Thinnest
7556509 - Medium

I only have one POLARIS shim here, and it measures .115" (I'm assuming this is the thickest?? from Polaris)

The valve spring shims I have are .032" and .057"

Hope this helps

#7556509=1/8"
#7555864=1/16"
#7555917=1/32"
I saw this in the P85 thread, don't know if it's accurate or not.

In a pinch, I've used 1 inch washers from Home Depot. They will work also.
