Drive this far to get ripped off??

Went to Priest Lake for a couple of days riding. Came back to the truck after a fun little ride and loading the sleds on the deck when my girlfriend asks "Where did you put the tie downs??"

Parked at East River Road and #10 and some zit on the ******* of life steals my Superclamps from the under my deck!

What a bunch of crap. Must be sledders to take them, who else would know what they were?

I wonder if the guys parked at the same spot had anything taken. Two tone green ford highboy with BFG AT's and a single trailer, white and red F-150 stepside with a single trailer, newer grey Chevy with 2 place without salt shield, or Toyota with open 2 place and a salt shield. Did you guys lose anything also?

Sorry about your loss.

I learned a long time ago that anything that you can pick up/remove goes in the truck somewhere and locked.

X2, I have had tons of things stolen out of the back my truck. Including parts off my sled and bike why it was in my truck. People have even tried to pry my truck tool box open before.

I will also like to add puting the keys in the gas tank lid is not a secrete anymore everyone knows that trick and will steall your stuff. Sledders arent just good ole boys anymore you got young thieving punks.

People are getting robbed at almost all unloading spots know.It just happened up here were im at and i never thought it would happen here.Trail cameras need to be put to work. Fact is if we our selves do not tryu to catch them no one will. Also not sure i would turn it in or talk about but take care of it on my own, your call on that one but i know how i feel obout it. Good luck.

We're seeing it here too. :face-icon-small-fro Used to be one didn't have to worry, even at the main parking trailhead. We've left our covers out, tie downs, toolbox not locked......not anymore.

People need to get a job and actually WORK for what they get, rather than ripping others off. I don't know that I'd control myself real well if I saw someone thieving.

They need to pay

I guess we need to carry to be able to confront these thieves. They should get their a ses kicked anyway.

It ain't just younguns thievin! Some 40-50 year old lowlife stole my Carhartt coat last saturday night.

I see people leave things "loose" all the time. Im not sure why anyone would do that. I would never be suprised if I come back to the truck and it has been broken into, but make it easy for them? I think we group together and "hire" somebody to sit and watch with a shotgun

I thought we already did that. Isn't that were all my tax money goes. to pay for law enforcement.

Snopark bandits strike again

My pickup was broke in to Sunday at Kings Lake. They got my Superclamps also and my iphone for good measure. Nothing else was touched. No way they could have seen the clamps on the back seat floor, my sled covers were over them. Definitely sledders, the only way they would have known the clamps were in there is by recognizing the small hoop on the trailer the clamps connect to. No one else was touched in the lot. Received and estimate today to fix the pickup - $950, replace clamps - $350 to $400 (likely won't, not sure where to hide 'em other than throwing them in the woods and leaving the truck unlocked to prevent the smash n grab), replace iphone $250 to $650 depending on used or new. Checked Craigslist today, could not believe the back alley bazaar for used iphones. I should be able to buy my phone back from there. (goes with out sayin' that I'll never leave electronics in the rig again) Dammit were vulnerable out there and I am not sure how to mitigate the risks! My expensive hobby just got more expensive.

You mean that one guy who sits in the parking lot writing tickets for not having your stickers on your sled hood (there on the tunnel bulkhead). Those guys are too worried about that to see real crime i.e. thieves and punks. Anyone ever thought about doing a citizens arrest in the parking lot? Im just asking is all.
