My temps dropped by about 15 degrees after porting the track. Snow that catches in the back of the track flips out through the holes and onto the cooler.

what size did you drill? did you really notice anything after you ported it?

I always run with the temp gauge on the MFD and yes, It is about 15 cooler on average after I ported it. I just sold that track so I can't check to see what size the holes were but it seems like they were 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 right down the middle. My new track came ported.

No change in performance that I could tell other than cooler engine temps and Snow doesn't fill up the back of the suspension the way it used to. I didn't singe the fibers. I just took a hole saw on a drill to it. The saw gets pretty hot on the way through. You should be able to get a good idea how big the holes are in my old track in the picture because the holes are the exact width of the little lines on the track.
