good bits, go slow, push hard..

That is the best I can do..

push firmly! otherwise he is correct 600-800 rpms on your drill . go to fast and you will work harden the material and that can be a problem requiring a carbide bit $$$ or a grinder

use a center punch and really whallop the thing, the divot it leaves behind will help the bit catch an edge to start digging in a little quicker and will also stop the bit from wandering all over your part leaving track marks everywhere, other than that, lowest speed you can manage and rapid tap for bit lube.

Mystic Metal mover. Yellow can. 3 to 4 drops is plenty. To much will make the problem worse. This stuff is amazing. I use it to drill extreamly hard crankshafts while balancing. Google it.
