Dragon turbo kit on a pro?

anyone try to take a boondocker dragon kit and make it work on the pro?

i see tons of these kits forsale for cheap,
same turbo, box would need a reflash,
clutching should be the same,
is it possible

someone has had to try this or am i going to be the first....

I have no experience with turbos on sleds but I don't think it would work because of the 2 injector set up on the pro compared to the 4 on the dragon, just thinking out loud but like i said I have ZERO experience with turbos on sleds just throwing out that info in case you didn't already know that. Hope you figure it out!

No it wouldnt.
Charge tubes would be different.
Lengths of Hoses & fittings would be different.
Also the 2vs4 injectors

The pro chassis is different so the charge tube/airbox.. Would not fit around the pro chassis.

pro turbo kit

I think with some work it could be done. Even if you have to purchase the different charge tube or make up your own. If the kit is from a 2010 and newer Dragon they only have the two injectors. You would have to double check with the manufacture of the kit to see about the fuel control box. If you got the kit cheap enough and utilized most of the big items it might be cheaper.

Think in these terms......The most experienced two stroke sled turbo guys on the planet couldn't get the stuff to consistently and reliably run with kits designed for the application.

They are just now after a season of running and countless failures starting to get a bead on it. That $4,500 for a known application would be a bargain compared to what you'll experience pioneering.

Sorry for the negativity but these are the facts....far better off to save your money until you can afford to do it correctly. There are only expensive (dead end) shortcuts in the two stroke turbo world.

I used my Dragon kit on my Pro and the only common component was the turbo. Every other part was different. IMO, it would have been cheaper to buy the complete kit and sell the Dragon kit.
Contact Code Red on here. He sometimes has customers looking for Dragon kits and he would make you a good deal on a Pro kit.

You could use certain parts of the dragon kit on a pro. chassis specific items like tubes and mounts won't work but the turbo itself and hardware could all be used. If you can fab you would probably save some cash buying a dragon kit vs a pro kit.

thats what i figured... i fabbed up my own turbo kit on my truck so i have the knowledge... i was just wondering about injectors and programmer.

the boxes are setup WAY different. the pro's dont like what the dragons run and the thing wont work for chit... when a few of the turbo kit companies started working on pro's they put the same programs in the box as the dragons and the things wouldnt barely even run.

so to answer your question, the turbo would work and thats it.
