Dragon start and idle ??

My 08 dragon 800 163 has had idle problems since I bought it new but it was not all the time? it ran great after the first update in 09 then when that top end failed the next rebuild it was back to the low idle, and now with the 2010 update it is still there, Yes I have taken it in a bunch and the last time cost me 300 to have the throttle bodies cleaned because that was the problem,BUT no it wasn't, they just cranked my idle up. just to add, once I'm in the hills I have to hold the throttle on a bit for it to start.
my question is... if its idle is 1700 at my house and it's fuel injected so shouldn't the idle up on the mountain still be 1700??

I would have the TPS setting checked and electronics grounding.

check your clutch alignment, center to center and also the offset on the sheaves as a tight belt from improper clutch alignment could cause the issues you speak of.

i have the same problem on my D8 08

i changed the idle from 2600 to 2000 and the RPM on tacho is not working anymore.
also if i change the idle to 1600 the engine dies after 20sec.
