Dragon/RMK Tunnel Storage

Though I would start a thread on storage bags for these sleds again. I am in need of a little more storage. I use a Polaris underseat bag now. I have checked out a BOSS seat and was not impressed. I have searched the forums and came up with a bag that Monte has on his sled as well as a seat cover. Monte, how has the SKINZ storage bag worked out? Do you like the SKINZ seat cover. Does it increase the seat height any? Anything else out there that is good guys? I like to carry my shovel and probe in my backpack though. Hope these pic attachments work?

I have the factory under seat and shovel bags. Took some 1" alum. angle stock and whipped up a fuel can/?? rack. $6 and an hour invested. works for me. ;)

i run a underseat bag, but it gets wet........it has work gloves, matches, rope, and my license plate and registration in it all in a waterproof bag inside.

i have a wildchild rack, the bag is a gears brand rev tunnel bag, i got it for christmas and i was going to return it but it fit great and has huge room for goggles gloves and alot of other stuff, could even fit a jacket liner on top of that stuff. it has bunje sides to tighten it up or you could use it for a snobunge too

just wished the rack was a inch longer so i could fit a different jerry can

I have the same rack (Vortech) on my sled, I went with the $6.00 Walmart gas can and a Pelican box I got cheap on e-bay. The box is great, stuff stays dry and secure, I just bungy it down. Gotta learn how to post pictures one of these days!!

Gordo....How is the bag for being waterproof/resistant? The bag appears more ridged in terms of its shape than the SKINZ bag that Monte has. Has that been good or bad for you? How is its capacity? Thinking of First-aid kit, tool kit, spare gloves & fleece vest. Want to limit the stuff in my backpack to a shovel, probe and a pair of gloves. I have seen this bag on Holz's website.

You might want to check out the bag Sled Solutions is offering this year. It is a very nice waterproof bag. One of my buddies has it (not quite as good as the Pelican box) and he is very happy with it, quite spendy though.

tunnel bag

my buddy just got a arctic cat waterproof tunnel bag-great bag only it has arctic cat on it-look funny on a polaris-does it matter(about 70 dollars)

snobunje tunnel bag

Best bag I've had on my sled is the snobunje. Lots of tie downs good zippers and expandable.

On my 163 dragon i have a powder keg with tank www.powderkegllc.com with a sled solutions explorer series tunnel bag www.sledsolutions.com mounted to a craiger built quick release base www.craiggerbuilt.com mounted behind the powderkeg. This gives me lots of storage or more fuel depending on the day. Or i can remove every thing in a less than 30 seconds. All three companys make good products as do others. The keg keeps your stuff very dry with no zippers.

Wow, my sled doesn't even look like that anymore. Lol. That bag worked out pretty good, but it did get some condensation inside from the coolers running under the tunnel. You would probably want to get some waterproof bags from a camping store if you wanted to use that one. All I did was just bring it in at night to dry out and that worked fine.
I now use the Skinz waterproof Powderpak. It also nicely expandable if you need to shed layers or carry more stuff. I think this is the biggest tunnel bag I've ever used. Rolls down nicely to fit what you are carrying and clamps securely. This has worked very well and everything stays dry.
I had the snobunje bag on another sled and it was nice too, but not as big.
