Dragon RMK Swaybar

Anybody try running a Dragon rmk without the swaybar? Broke mine, getting the Walker Evans shocks rebuilt, should I get a new swaybar or go without?Generally ride off trail where the ease of the lean really matters. Thanks

Fellow sledheads: thanks for the replies....I'm new to this and it is great. Guess I'll give Puff the Magic Dragon a whirl w/o the bar and go from there. Gotta say, This 07 700 Dragon rmk is an awesome sled. No issues, tougher than concrete nails, and this is from a guy who's been at it 30 years, wrecked em all, and owned everything but the DOO. I leave that too the kids.....those new Summits suck on the trail ride to the real mobilin.

Try searching on this topic. It get's asked a lot! The IQ doesn't handle well w/o the sway bar. It's already tipsy and you won't like it w/o the sway bar and WE's.

If you stick with the walkers you will need to keep thr swaybar. Got rid of mine with a set of Zbroz!

How are the ZBroz working out for you in the front? Have a set in my rear skid this season and like them so much...I ordered a set of X0's for the front from Fastrax last week.:):)

Depending on how you like the front end. I have been running mine without the sway bar and once you get used to it I find it works great for sidehilling...way less rider input required. If you like to race your buddies on the trail then you have the wrong sled anyways....lol. Leave the sway bar in.

If you're going to stay with the WE's, keep the sway bar.

I took mine off and went with Fox Zero pro's with the 110# spring instead of the stock 100# to help compensate for lack of sway bar. I love it, wish I would have done it sooner. Its a little darty on the road, but so much better handling off trail,

My sway bar was broken too, I rode a year with only Walker Evan Airs no sway bar, it can be done, but the sled is very tippy and dives bad, I was careful never jumped it and didn't go very fast on moguls, the good thing was it could curve and side hill like no other it was almost too easy. You definatly got worn out, trail riding was horrible very hard to turn, even in deep powder. I have floats on mine now I'll probably never put a sway bar on it I really like the set up now.

I'm running an 08, no sway bar with fox floats, it's a LOT better than the stock 08's are, but the stock 09 is still better if you ask me. I like the the 09 sway bar, and if I had an 09 I would put some better socks on it and leave the sway bar in; but my 08 with floats, and no sway bar rides a lot better than it did stock.

i feel pretty much the same way broke mine off three times and gave up but i do jump and hit moguls as fast as i can probably why the stupid things only last me a few rides before breaking off

I was fine with no sway bar a long as my WE's were pumped up to the pressure I wanted (235 psi). But then I knicked my shafts on the WE's and then it was horrible with no sway bar. I switched to some stock Ryde FX and that was bad with no sway bar. Put sway bar back on and sled was WAY better. Interesting because doesn't the ASSault run no sway bar or is that just Burandts sleds?
