dragon or m8

m8 2010 dragons werent running so hot this year had a lot of problems. atleast a couple of my friends did anyway and polris didnt no how to fix it

I've been seeing new '10 Dragon's go for $8500. Havent seen those kind of prices on the M8 snopros. I got my '10 M8 162 snopro in Feb for $9700 out the door with a 2yr warranty...

I came from a 08 dragon and bought a '10 M8. Sold it near the end of the season. Handling was inferior to the Dragon. Engine was much better but it wasn't near as enjoyable to ride.

its all what you are comfortable on, I have an 09 dragon and I have ridden it hard with no issues

Rode an 09 Dragon and loved it. Only sold it to buy the new sled. Don't let those people that say they don't run well scare you away. That first comment was pure ignorance and a classic example of 4M BS. Ride them both if you can and go with what you like.

LMAO...I thought the question was best deal???

JFYI...In western Washington as of 2 months ago, the best price I could get on a Sno-Pro 153 was $9,500 and they wouldn't budge. The best price I found on a Dragon 8 155 was $8,500. Both 2010 models.

None of them...
Both outdated chassis...
Cat has the edge in the motor D8 has
the handling!
Buy à ProRmk or be left behind!

But the difference in price between a 2010 and 2011 is a big factor I'm sure...thus why he was asking about 2010's. I don't feel either chassis is "outdated". If you don't know how to ride an M8 or D8 really well, then you have bigger issues to deal with. I've owned both, and both can do almost anything that I want them too. They both handle different but both great at the same time.

My 09 D8 has run flawlessly with no issues.
If you go M you better set some money aside for Diamond Drive rebuilds. LOL

As a former Dragon owner, that makes me laugh. I have put 850 miles on my M8 since Feb with no DD issues. Although I did do the bigger 4203 bearing and change my fluid every 350 miles or so....which helps a lot. On the other side of the coin. My 09 D8 top end failed before 800 miles. Then the same failure at 1100 miles. Then a rod bearing which took out the crank at 1550 miles. I'm glad you have had 0 problems with your Dragon. But I had nothing but problems. Not to mention trying to clutch it to hold rpms at 12K ft, which I never got to my liking. By the time my Dragon hit the same mileage my M sits at now I was towed out of the backcountry 3 times (6 times total in 1.5yrs). So far I've had no issues with my M8 that required a tow out. This is why I jumped ship from my Dragon/Polaris and bought the M8 in the first place. I'm not the only Dragon owner that did that this year either...

First of all this is just dumb:hurt:
here is some facts
Quote:
The snow engines are going to be made in Mexico.

NOT FACT.
This production is being moved to Roseau.
Polaris has stated that the Liberty Snowmobile engines that are currently made in the Osceola plant will be made in Roseau Mn. where the Osceola snowmobile related production will be moved to.
The snowmobiles and there engines are made in the USA
