Dragon 8 wont run right- PLEASE HELP!!!

I have an 08 dragon 800 with a new engine put in by Big Boys Toys. It has like 20 miles on it- heres my deal: It has like a bog ish thing that we cant figure out. It seems to be fine when we have it at the shop with the track propped up, but we take it on the hill and under a load it takes all I have to get it to open up- its like its boggy, but that doesn't make sense. When it finally opens up it sounds great, but sometimes you cant even get it to open up. Ive had it at Tri-city 3 times to hook the computer up and we found nothin. we replaced the stator and still does it. its not the TPS, we tested and unhooked that. Any ideas??? stuck injector? bad injector(s)? It has an SLP single pipe with can- is that it?? clutching??

Try the easy stuff first if you haven't yet. Plugs, fuel filter, exhaust valves(sticking or tears in bellows), etc

We've tried all the easy stuff, its got a new belt. Would the PCV help? how much are those? Were takin it up tomorrow to test the fuel psi...

pc-5 wont solve the issue..something is wrong with it..you need to check all the basics again..compression, fuel pressure, swap clutches off another sled just to verify they work, check powervalves...tps setting, does it idle ok/ whats max rpm it will run right now?...check reeds and make sure they are in good shape....once you have done that..you should have it figured out..if not..then come back and tell us what your results were...also check charging voltage....then we will try some other things...

kind of a poor explaination but it sounds like power valves are not opening. check hoses and wires to solinoid. come back with what the tack does and where it ends up it is a valuable tool and its why the machine has one IMO

When you say "boggy", does the sled do it at low rpm (5-6000) or does it not want to spin above 7000 rpm?

mine was doing the same thing last week, the dealer tried everything, changed all the sensors tried a new ecm, power valves, reeds, finally found a rip in the intake boot, but they didn't have a new one to try,if that fixes it i'll let you know, also tried a pcv but that didn't do anything to help

ripped intake boot was not the problem, probably didn't help but it still runs like crap,it goes like it's supposed to for about five minutes, then once everything is hot it bogs down, only get about 6700 rpm's,when she cools off then it rips again,i'm thinking injectors or stator.

Have you checked the gas port for the EV in the jug to see if it is plugged. Mechanics wire fits the hole in the jug. Make sure the piston is at BDC in each hole though.

Try a different set of coils if it is getting hot and dieing out than cools down and runs good they maybe getting heat soaked or craked

Still sucks..

Thanks everyone for the help. We had another dragon and were swapping everything out- swapped ecu, voltage regulator, regulator, spark plug caps, stator, checked clutches, reset tps, checked throttle bodies. Checked the air box- no restrictions there. It bogs at like 5000 rpms and up. Shouldnt be anything wrong with the engine- Its a brand new swap done by Big Boys Toys. Its had this prob since the swap. Pretty much the only thing we haven't checked is the injectors... is it gonna be those?? This snow is too sweet for my sled to be sittin in the shop.

I'd be checking the temp sensor.

Was the whole motor changed or just the topend?

I'm betting it isn't the injectors.

Did you put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what it looked like when it was acting up?

Did you change anything in your clutching? I have chased problems like this before, only to find out it was a clutch issue.

Jay,
They ever get your sled squared away? Find out what the problem was?
