Dragon 8 valve springs difference?

I know this has been addressed in the past but just want to make sure I have it right. I understand that when the updates were performed on the 08 Dragon8's they went to a stiffer spring (I think orange in color). My understanding as well is it replaced a spring pink in color. My question is what are the pro's and con's to light verses stiff. I also have heard that SLP is recommending going to the pink spring on the 08 and 09 sleds that have had the recent update done because of the new head installed.
Hopefully I am not the only one with questions.

i was also wondering about this. would this cause me only getting 7800 rpm

A stiffer spring will cause a faster closing of the valves when the solenoid opens. It will also open more slowly. If it is too stiff and exhaust pressure cannot overcome the spring pressure it can cause you to not achieve proper running RPM.

I Bought the new spring today and willtry tommrow but that is what slp told me itmakea big difference in high elevation performance. towngrunt the can sounds cools thanks.

Is the pink spring the one SLP said to use? I checked with my dealers parts guy today, he said that the 08 and 09 800's came with the orange spring. They said the 700's came with the pink spring...anyone know if this is right?

Yes, SLP recomends the pink spring. I put mine in today, cleaned clutches(again) new carlisle belt. There was a new flash for the computer too, something with fuel mapping. We'll see what happens...........:beer; :beer;

Cleaned my valves today and the 700 and the 600 both had the pink springs. Going to put the yellow in and disconnect the hoses
