DPM went bad on my 08 XP, does the DPM go bad on ANY sled that had DPM. The dealer that checked the engine code didn't seem to concerned, just said "Aw, yer DPM went bad and caused yer DETO sensor to go haywire too. We'll just replace both to be on the safe side" He made me smell it and the electronics did smell burnt!
Does that sound correct? I have never had a DPM fail on me before. Once I get the parts in and the dealer puts them back on I'm gonna pull the head and make sure that there was no damage to the pistons or cylinders. I had to ride it back to the trailer with the engine code flashing at me.
