DPM question on efficency to compensate for altitude

I have been running summits for 8 years now so I am totaly familiar with what it does. I put a BBK kit in and have the jetting setup so it runs perfect at 1,000 feet but when going anywhere 6000+ it gets phat in the mid range. I tried changing the needle .10 when at the higer elevations and did some test runs and it would then go lean. Went from phat to lean by only making a .10 adjustment on the needle. Is there some other adjustment to help clean up the mid range? Also is there a way to see if the DPM is functioning like it should be?

What year is the sled? The selinoid on my 09 stuck and it would not change for altitude. Its the silver thing on the left side of the DPM box. Unplug it and hook a 9v battery to it, i used two pieces of a paper clip in each hole. you should hear it click. also try tapping it while it is running. if none of this works take the screw off the top and pull it apart and check for any corrosion. mine was corroded. cleaned it up, hook the battery up to it and then it ran perfect
