Rider X does have a sat view now. They had taken it out for awhile, then put it back in. No topo that I've seen.
I've got years of old tracks on my Garmin Montana. Is there anyway to import them into the PIDD? I was able to do that with my old Lowrance to the Garmin. I don't have the sled yet to play with.
I thought I read that you could import standard gpx tracks?
I wasn't that impressed at first until we were stuck on a ridge line in a white out with only one way down. I was able to follow my track from the previous weekend, one foot at a time.
That one time made it worth while to me.

You likely will never see topographic or aerial imagery on the Polaris IDD due to the hardware limitations. It only has 4GB of memory, and all of that is taken up by the OpenStreetMap data, not to mention the OS running it.
Aerial imagery requires tons of storage space, and even on large storage devices you need to be able to select which area you want to load that data for, since the entire US is terabytes of data.
Topo data also requires either strong hardware or lots of storage space as well. The Polaris IDD has neither.
There are other options out there that replace the stock dash that do support aerial and top data.
I just read the FAQ.
Can I Export or Import GPS Tracks and Waypoints?
The PIDD has the ability to Export and Import saved Tracks and Waypoints using the GPS Exchange (.GPX) format to or from a USB drive that is connected to the display. Reference PIDD owner's manual for full details.
This is good news! I'll be curious to see how well it works. I love it on the Garmin. Different colors for different trips, etc.
