This is in response to Blue By You on T.Y. . The double down pipes have a major affect on getyting rid of the heat in the exhaust system, from header to turbo and on. As for real world feedback we have an apex with over 7500 miles on it with the first double down pipe Dave built.The header has never been cracked or has there ever been any issues with the heat. I also own a Simons front mount that has been refit with some higher quality peices from Powder Lites wich have made it more reliable and stopped the header cracking issues. Powder Lites header and double down will make a huge difference to the point of 2-4 grams per cam arm. The major seat of the pants feel is in the midrange. I will have Dyno numbers within 2 weeks to post one on a nytro powder lites turbo at 12 all the way to 20lbs boost and an apex up to 24lbs of boost both will be run with the new RB3 programmers with timing in and timing pulled, Dave has some really neat things on the board he is working on.

I,d like to try it on my RX-1.If it gets rid of more heat and saves me from having to replace the original header that's a plus.

I had his double down pipe on at the beginning of the season, and it did work good, but I still broke a header. Riding on the East coast is night and day compared to riding in the mountains. I am running a sidepipe from Alpine and it seems to work good as well...just noisy. I still have Dave's downpipe if anyone wants to buy it. I also have 3 cracked headers if someone wants to weld them up and use them. They would work good for trail riding or going fast for 660 ft at a time. lol

Confirm what header the DD pipe was built for. They are similar, but the Powderlites and CPR parts are not the same, and they aren't interchangable (without serious grinding).

Are you not the moderater who booted me off of TY in about 6 minutes after you perceived me to say something negative about a advertiser on TY? If you are not the guy, I apoligize and will give you a good price. If you are the guy, then beat it!!!I have no time for the TY boys club. I had some legit info for the members and was booted without reason.
C,mon usetobedoo lets show them that we are bigger people than that. They booted me for the same reason but I feel snowwest can be as informative or even better thanTY. if we work at keeping all the drama down. Chit it is hard not to call someone out on something but I dont think it makes this a good web site for that. I will try and practice my own preaching.
I am indeed a Moderator there, however I did not ban you. I think if you talked live with needforspeed2, you would know I am a very reasonable person and have ALWAYS shown TY members nothing but respect. When Kevin (needforspeed) was having problems, I got his phone number and called him, on my dime, and on my personal time. TY mods are volunteers and do the best with what they have to work with. I hope you know how difficult certain situations can be. Rules are written to protect users and advertisers, but when bad deals happen we are really in a bad spot and put completely in the middle. Frankly it sucks. Just so you guys know, we have discussed this in detail on how to handle these issues in the future. We have come to the conclusion that if indeed a TY advertiser has product out there that is not performing and doing what it was advertised to do, then we will let the posts ride, just as long as they are done in an adult manner. Guys, I very much understand frustrations with aftermarketers as I have spent thousands over the years on products the didnt work, broke, and fell short of the hype generated from the supplier. I have fought hard for alot of members with MANY aftermarketers and got involved in bad deals to help where I can. With Kevins deal, I talked with him no less than 3 times on the phone, talked with Ted Jannetty, and Jeff Simon no less than 3 times as well to try figuring out what happened. My problem for getting so damn involved I guess. use2bedoo, i would do the same for ANY member and hope dont feel you were singled out. One of the traits of being a human is that we are prone to making mistakes.
