Dore mcbride ?

I went in the Dore two seasons ago and like others have said, it isn't for the faint of heart, lots of technical spots but TONS of riding area (I ended up trashing my sled's hood trying to get over to another glacier). I rode 165km in one day in the Dore area, pack lots of gas and hire a guide if your going to do it. Also get your avalanche training and be aware of cravasses. When I was in there, about a month earlier a guy fell down a cravasse and was killed:(.

PM me if you need a # for a guide, I know a guy who can probably help you out.

Hope this helps

Luke

There are a few spots that if you go down the wrong way your not getting out...period. A helicopter wont even try to get at you. Also seen some people have major headaches after the only path through the steep rockslide/waterfall was wrecked by some bad stucks. And in the avy valley, make sure only one sled at a time goes through because it is prone to heavy slides often, so dont stop. This is in south dore.
