Don't know boys ...but thinkin about going Blue

Hey T/A I was in cooke all this week yami had demo rides set up right before you drop over the top on daisy I signed up and rode the sled for 30 min and yeah its real pushy in the front end {yes I could feel the hundred pounds} pulled decent in the 3 feet of powder. But I was beat after 30 min of riding.
Just not even close to light feel of my rev. I had yami sleds since 1993 and I will NOT darken there door until they solve the weight issue! If you ride the trails and fart around a bit off trail youd be fine. Get it in the steep and deep and you will SINK!:face-icon-small-dis

saw a lot of nytros in cooke this weekend, saw several bieng worked on,,never saw one back in the powder where we ride,,just buzzing the trails..3 to 4 feet powder must have scared them:face-icon-small-con

T/A that is like saying Dale Jr. is scared of Jeff Gordon..:rolleyes: I don't think so... Ha Ha..:beer;:beer;:beer;

In stock form, I don't think you can compare the two! The ONLY way that a Nytro or even an Apex is competative is on boost! Mind you when they are on boost there isn't a whole lot that will run with them on the long pulls, but for boondocking, I would rather have something light and nimble, but the again I'm 260lbs and riding an anything but light zx mod, so what do I know about light weight!

That'll be the day. Having to buy two sleds, so you have one for backup while the other ones being fixed, Maybe it should have been called an X2 instead of an XP. Maybe next year they will have them priced like shoes, in pairs. LMFAO

I love all this "competative" talk between the 2. I'm not a racer - I don't compete with anyone. Nor am I in my teens or twenties anymore - heck, I'm about past the thirties / LOL. I rode my Nytro in 2-3 feet of fresh Saturday. It did not feel heavy, it was not a work out, I had absolutely no trouble keeping up with anyone. Point is - it fits MY riding style (which does not include trails). It is a darting MF on the trails but guess what - it isn't a trail sled. I sure your XP fits YOUR riding style perfectly.

Oddly enough, I have not been the least bit sore in the 2 days following my ride. Usually I can't get out of bed the next day. Wonder why that is? Certainly it CAN'T be the sled.... / LMAO

You didn't get stuck, did ya:D That would account for the lack of "soreness";) Can't wait to ride with Jeffro:beer;

Just got back from 4-5 feet of pow with my turboed Nytro in the trees no hills & it just killed both rev xp's. found it easier to throw around with all that power. Both Rev's blew 2 belts in 200k. Ive got 550k on turboed Nytro & havent done a thing. Except help change some Rev belts. Total cost involved $18200. Can How much are 2 Revs?

By the way, how come there are so many Yammy riders over here in the Doo section? We don't want you guys to hear about all the belts we are changing. That's top secret stuff. When a four-stroke Yammy weighs the same as my new XP, I'll buy one. But for now, I'll enjoy my 98lb weight reduction, 17hp advantage, frequent belt changes(none for me yet, I must be lucky, or Lynn Felker knows his *&^%) and s-module replacement, and all of those powder days the XP lives for:beer;

No track just a MCXpress turbo. By the way the Maverick track sucks. I was always the guy that said nothing works like a Rev in the deep powder. I' ve got big shoulders I can take the heat. But for a big heavy sled these Nytros Turboed will give the Rev fits even Boondocking. Im only 175lbs & I don't get tired boondocking a Nytro. For those who have ridden an Apex & are judging four strokes from that should really ride a Nytro. It is like comparing an XP to an old formula III

I dont ride an XP or Nytro, but it sure seems funny that the same guys calling the Nytro heavy are the same ones that just a year ago were praising their Rev's, M's, and Dragons, which all have similar specs compared to the Nytro. Now, suddenly that is too heavy to ride?

Yes, the XP raised the bar for light weight 2 strokes. But the Nytro has done that same thing for the 4 srokes. Isn't this what we all asked for?

You cant compare the Nytro to any other 4 stroke, just like you cant compare the XP to any other 2 stroke. Both Yamaha and SkiDoo should be praised.

We're the only sport left where 2 strokes are the majority of new units. The writing is on the wall for 2 strokes, it's just a matter of time.

Now, continue bashing each other...I'm goin riding!!

Your kinda stupid then.
xp 154 is $10000.00, times 2 would be $20000.00
nytro is $10000.00, boondocker turbo is 5000.
YES, turbo'd nytro will beat the living shiot outta your little xp, or should I say 2 xp's that will cost MORE then a turbo'd nytro.
just a shame that you HAVE to turbo the nytro to compete. wonder what a turbo'd xp vs turbo'd nytro would do. and you could still boondock with the xp...

have fun with your turbo'd hog log. i'll see you in the trees sittin there deciding the straight way through as i carve the "tight" line. carefull though. all that weight sittin in one spot,,,,,,, might sink if a pine cone hits ya. yeah yeah yeah,,,, you make a lot of noise cruisin up a hill at 150 mph. but thats about it. lets see ya jump that lead sled off a 50 foot drop. i think the submarine effect may come in to play a little more. with all that power you should be able to jump it at least 200 feet or so. but all the guys jumpin sleds are on somethin light weight. so what is it good for. ooooohhhhhhhhhhhh. thats right ,,,, goin 150 up a hill.

so what is the difference when i weigh 145 and you 260 me on a nytro you on a xp or zx?comes out your total weight would be a few pounds more..now i have not riden a xp..but did own a rev for awhile and the nytro handles better than the rev..

Nytro might beat an XP on the high mark but in the trees the tables will be turned.

The nytro dont weigh 480 my friend...

anyway ride whatever you preference is (chutes/boondock/himark/trail/etc), not what ppl type on a keyboard

There is no denying that the four stroke is going to start taking over snowmobiling in the future. Just like what happened in motocross a few years back when four strokes were introduced into the sport. There was similiar arguments as you see here. Now look, you rarely ever see a two stroke bike anymore racing motocross. Like it or not it's coming, especially with all the greenies pushing for higher emission standards.
