Don't be swayed... the LT's boondock too!

I've had a lot of people tell me that by moving to the LT I would lose a lot of the "playful" boondocking qualities. Maybe they are right in the spring (and we will see in a couple months if they are right) but so far the LT has been a big improvement over the ST for me this year in all off-trail conditions. I have noticed that on trail the bike is a tad more "pushy", but off trail I grab traction much faster, float much better, and pick up speed after close calls much quicker. The LT is the only way for this guy!

Rush that SX looks like it rips! How does it compare to your KX from last year?
Thanks for sharing the video! I still haven't tried a ST yet. Been exclusive to the LT. I had the option to go either way this season but went LT.

I love my SXF in the snow... excellent bike. I feel it is a step above the KX but I would never have a problem owning another KX again. Slap an LT on the KX and it will be right there with the SXF. I just really love the way this KTM behaves... both the motor and the ergonomics. Feels really right in the saddle.

Right now I'm running 12-17-17-20 and I'm really liking it. I'm probably going to try the 13 tooth counter-shaft soon just to see where my 2nd/3rd spacing is at... but so far I am happy with the gearing. Going down the road I tap out pretty quick but usually I try not to be on the road for much more than 20min or so.

What about coming down hill fast? My favorite thing to do is climb to the top of stuff then carve down them as fast as I can. Even the ST pushes pretty hard when turning downhill. Is there much difference with the LT?

So far it's not OVERLY noticeable... but it doesn't seem to whip around as quickly since the entire bike length has been extended 8 inches or so. I did have a couple downhill turns that ended up with me laying the bike over (like a ski wash out), but I am also getting used to the flex arm at the same time as the new track... hard to tell what caused it but I expect both were a factor. With the flex arm the bike settles into the snow with a little track spin better, not that edge-to-edge feeling I was used to.

The first time coming up the road I thought I was going over in the corners a few times... but now I'm used to the flex and the road feels much better and the bike handles tree well dips and snow contour changes more confidently.
