I am done spending ton of money on Klim gear with a "warranty" that doesn't actually exist. I sent a pair of Powerxross pants in, they were spotless except for a small cut on the front thigh that happened last year. My *** has been getting wet for two years (way before the small cut), I finally got tired of having wet butt and back of legs so sent them in. Response from Klim:
"Hello there,
Warranty has evaluated your photo's. Upon evaluation, they have determined they won't be able to test the pants for leakage due to the damage. They can repair the damage. They have offered the following costs below:
$70.00 to repair the right front thigh multiple tears. This will have a visible seam line.
$70.00 to repair the 6" Abrasion/Burn on the right seat. This will have a visible seam line.
Thank you."
First of all, they do not have a burn on them. NO idea what they are talking about. Second of all, I never sent photos, I sent the pants in. Klim is trying got ream me for $140 to fix a tiny cut and non existent "burn". SO if I pay the $140, then they determine that the Gore Tex is failed, then what? This is some dishonest stuff here folks. I don't even know how much Klim stuff me and my 5 family members own, but I am done buying it. Their gloves fall apart, the boots have a ONE year warranty now, the pants ALL leak after a year, and Klim looks for any small amount of wear to claim that they "cannot test them" for warranty.
Wish I would have seen the email today when the Klim rep was right in front of me at the dealership.......
