This letter letter out to all cat dealers today.

RE: 2018-2019 8000 models Dear Arctic Cat Partner,
You are hereby instructed to stop sale all model year 2018-2019 Arctic Cat 8000 models, new or used, effective immediately. Do not operate or permit anyone to operate these units until required updates have been completed. Severe personal injury may result.
The existing ECM does not meet Arctic Cat standards and must be reprogrammed. We will share more information as soon as it is available.
If you have any questions about this action, please contact your Arctic Cat Product Support Team.
Sincerely,
Arctic Cat Product Support

How is your ECU program going to make your sled unsafe to operate? Sounds like sleds need to be taken to dealer for the ecu to be reprogrammed, but no details on when they will have the program.

I had my ECU flashed with the precision tune and it still melted panels.

Guess I will get this flash done to see if it is truly fixed

you may want to check with whomever flashed your ecu, to see if this flash will overwrite the current flash... or you may be sending it back for re-re-flash, and a fee may be involved. your results may vary. Ski

Idle speed adjustment.
Does this fix the high idle hang time after climbing a hill?

called AMS in Kremling, nothing about it from them...but the AC phone is busy and eventually they send you to VM.

Heard a rumor to not reflash your sled. It's for emissions. And possibly from the low elevations sleds shooting flames. So less power on the reflash or what?
