Dolbeck box boost reading

The line to my dolbeck style EFI control box isn't connected and the nipple that it hooks up too is broken off and inside the hose. With that line not connected, does it lean the engine out or make it run too rich? Also, what's the best way to fix that nipple? I'm thinking glue it back on but, is there another way?

I have the attitude box and my guess is that the box wouldn't be sensing any boost and wouldn't be adding the extra fuel per pound of boost. As too how to fix it i couldnt tell ya but my guess is to get it glued back on good so there are no leaks.

Send it in to get replaced or repaired. Contact Snow4shover (he designs/builds them) on here and see if he can get you taken care of. You could try and glue it but chances are you will get glue in the sensor or seal off the opening. Good chance it will work fine until you get into some nasty hole and really need it then it will break again. With out that line hooked up it will not sense boost and will not add the fuel it needs.

i wouldnt run it or chance it with glue. if that breaks again and you dont notice it will not sense boost and thus not add any extra fuel as stated. i had the same problem and ended up with this...

I wonder what my pistons look like....no idea how long it was unplugged, but my EGTs never got over 1250. Guess I'm going to send it in.

Don't glue it, you'll be pressurizing the box... which isn't sealed... and not pressurizing the sensor. (ask me why I know this...:face-icon-small-dis)

Dobeck will fix it for about $30.

I bought a new box thinking it would be some big deal... I then called dobeck, sent in my glue gobbed box, paid my $30 and had it back in 3 days.

Don't even THINK of trying to send it in to Attitude... that moron doens't even return calls, answer the phone, return emails... NOTHING.

The guys at Dobeck were awesome though, I was really caught off guard how easy that was.

Btw, even disconnected, at bottom boost mine ran pretty well. once I realized that it wasn't sensing boost I added some red & it did fine at about 8 psi. (I had mine on the bars & when I rolled it broke the nipple... my own fault)
