Doing a Ride Rasmussen clinic in SLC

Anyone interested in joining in on a Ride Rasmussen Clinic?

Today I spoke with one of Brett's team, Bryan Bennet. He told me I can setup our own clinic for $1,500 per day.

I figure if there are ten of us that sign up, that's only $150 per person.

I just bought my sled Dec of 2013 so I am not close to a pro yet so I am thinking I would like folks like myself that want to learn but aren't experts.

Are there are others that are interested? We could schedule in Jan or so to make sure we could fit it into everyone's schedule.

Ten is a pretty big group if you are trying to learn anything. IMO 5-6 would be max to get your money's worth if you really want good instruction and feedback to improve.

I'd be very interested at that price. I would also be concerned of not getting much instruction out of it. I think of we do it, we set a list of skills that we all what to go over and agree on it. Hopefully that's what they already do! Keep me in the loop. Thanks man.

Yes I think this is a good idea to all agree on a few skills for the day. I think the main one for me would be sidehilling / wrong foot forward.

I am thinking either Saturday, Jan 31st or Saturday, Feb 7th, 2015.

Those that are interested, please PM me with full contact info (name, email address, home phone, work phone, cell phone) and what 1 or 2 items you would like to be taught or get out of the clinic.

I need to get a hold of Brian Bennett and find out how we pay. I am hoping we could each call him ahead of time and pay our share so I don't have to get involved with collecting money and paying him one lump sum.

Thank you,

I've ridden with bret around 8 to 10 times, with various sizes of groups... from 3 days of one on one, all the way up to 15 people during a shooting of schooled 2 segment. My suggestion to everyone... pony up 300 a piece and keep the group to 5. I've been in socal the last two years, and I know they've brought on more instructors, but the smaller the better (assuming everyone is already an advanced rider). If everyone is more a beginner, a bigger group would be fine.

I have not ridden with any newer instructors, only Tony (and George a couple times... although i guess he's "just" a camera man, not an instructor) but being able to have one on one time with Tony and George was SUPER beneficial as well. Tony is fully of enthusiasm and just an all around bad *** on a snowmobile and George is super laid back and has a great ability to make things look easy and smooth. My whole point is, tap every resource you possibly can when you ride with them AND DO NOT LET FEAR HOLD YOU BACK FROM GOING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE! The more aggressive you are to learn, and follow them even though you aren't comfortable, the more you will gain from this experience.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with ride rass style. Each time i rode with bret, he was able to see that i had worked on my weak areas and each new day, he would challenge me that much more, and the progress would continue. Things that used to be a little scary or challenging, became second nature, which allowed me to get more and more comfortable in tougher situations. Seriously, if you are a dedicator snowmobiler, this money (wether its 50 bucks, or 1500) will be some of the best money you've spent towards the sport. Parts for sleds come and go, but riding ability is yours and transfers to every sled you own.

Damn it... i love being in Newport, but this has me missing snowmobiling and Utah!
