Doing a break in ride at Monte on 12/18

Have zero miles on the M8 and plan on taking it pretty easy to break it in.

Want some road time/light riding? I plan to be at the Monte parking lot between 10:30 and 11:00.. Let me know...

If i got off work earlier I would be there just started the new motor in my Rmk for the first time about a hr ago zero miles on the whole motor.

I'm not worried about the motor.. I don't trust the high school kids who put sleds together for the dealers these days.. I don't want to be WFO and have the skid drop out..

Just need to take it out to test the latest setup, been doing a lot of work so far to get it dialed in this season.

I think I might just head up Farmington. still a little skidish with this sled, need to play with the carbs a little bit, just wasn't running like I wanted it to last night.

That M8 is going to feel super awkward coming from the ski-doos! Just a heads up you dont have to ride it with your weight as far forward as the ski-doos... Let us know how she rides!

ride report:

The M8 ran great: only put on about 42 miles. My dad (78 now) rode it most of the day.

Snow at Monte is still thin.. both the ant flats road and the road to the top allow you to scrape through to the pavement and rocks. Wind blown bare on top where the power poles cross the road. Too many landmines to do any serious climbing anywhere I went.

I don't have any trouble switching back and forth between the Mountain Max, M8, XP's or old XLT... it's a sled.. ride it...

Did find a couple of things to get fixed under warranty on the XP today.. Oil tank and rear shock.. no biggie..
