Doin major overhaul...recommendations

So here I am with a blown 755, it sucked in a bunch of snow last year at the end of one of the most epic rides in Revelstoke B.C. I have ever experienced. Now I have a perfect jug, and one with scoring. Going to send my crank out to Indy Dan for the stage 1 basic rebuild. My question is this...Would the 755 be more reliable than doing the 900 swap w/06 pistons? Or should I just stay with the 755 displacement.

if you want the 900 top end i would say go for it. since you are having indydan take care of your bottom end, and if you put the 06 pistons in, the 900 should last a long time. just make sure if you havent done all the other recomendations on here(torque arm, and stop, check intake boots etc.) that you do those now as well.
i own both a 755 and 900, and the 755 is an absolute blast to ride, but for where i ride i really like the extra grunt of the 900.

Thanks gents I think im going to be stickin with the 755 as it is most cost-effective and still delivers a lot of snot. Going to so the Fire N Ice intake to replce the shat SLP intake that caused my motor meltdown. And do all th updates that are available.

Typically speaking, the 755 is the more reliable option due to the lesser stresses on the motor. In order to do the 900 conversion you would need the new top end and flash for the ecu...( not sure if there is anything else.) not hard, but easier to stay stock.
