I switched my lab from Purina puppy chow to dog chow, holy crap that stuff makes them stink! Turns out he even knows all the tricks, I just got crop-dusted and it inspired me to write this thread.

What do y'all feed your big dogs?

LOL.......I know the feeling!!

We went through it with our female, and once we switched her to Nutro Lamb & Rice, all was good.

Our male......I've switched him many times.....doesn't seem to matter what kind of food, he's still bad.

Feeding them both Exclusive Chicken & Rice (from our Ag Center). Female is doing great, male, he's better than he was with some other foods.......but still stinks us out at times (both are Golden's). I was using the Large Breed (larger kibbles), but went to the regular stuff (smaller kibbles). It lasts longer...and with 2 big dogs, we need that. I do give them both glucosamine/chrondroitin tablets (or sometimes the liquid stuff from Costco) to have the healthy bones/joints.

The more corn/corn meal in the food........the worse the gas is. The higher up in the ingredient list this is, the more the food contains (filler), and more gas comes from it.

Science diet.....You feed less, they eat less, they crap less. Well worth the price.
However, I would like to try Black Gold.

I like Ol'e Roy. My dog stinks worse than me, so it doesnt seem so bad when I tear ***.

We feed Science Diet.

Recently, we tried Taste of the Wild grain free. HOLY COW! Talking about stinky. We are sticking with Science Diet.

Yea, switch to a higher quality food. Nutra Nuggets from Fred Meyer is a very good food for a good price.

I thought it was just my dogs that have been unbearable lately. My lab is especially bad. Me and the wife will be watching tv and right on cue we both almost pass out, take a look over at Duke and he just gives us that pitiful look that says "sorry guys...". As I type my other dog just crapped his fur.
