does the 09+ diamond drive bolt in a 07-08 reverse chassis?

Have some Diamond Drive questions

I know BDX makes a non-reverse lightweight kit for the reverse chassis, is it the same as the 2009+ chassis.

I see 09+ diamond drives for sale and thought I would just buy one of those if it bolts in.

Does the 09 DD work with the 07-08 drive shaft?

thanks
Dave

Yes the case will bolt in. 07-11 is the same bulkhead. The drive shaft is the same as well. Different part number in 07 but the 08-11 drive shaft replaces the 07 part number. Ive heard of guys getting the 09 ecu and changing some wiring to get the engine reverse as well.

Thanks,
I have a 08 m1000 with the updated ECU that is said to allow for engine reverse to work.
I think I have a line on a oil pump from the 09+ 1000's

And I have had the special wire/terminal that was sold back a few years ago for a short time that is suppose to make the motor spin backwards so I guess I will give it a shot this year.

I never had a problem with my DD reverse until last year so I guess its time to upgrade!

As long as a guy doesn't mind premixxing I would just do the oil delete then you don't have to worry about the reverse oil pump.

the DD reverse case is a hog. Youll be much happier with the 09+ drive, just make sure you update the bearing in it.

yeah, it will be nice to lose a few pound off the sled, I had to replace the bearing on the reverse model also the cage cracked just like the non reverse luckly I caught it before any damage happened.

DD repairs are spendy.. my buddy spent 700 on repairs in yellowstone last winter.. his plug freakishly fell out though, not sure why. Now he puts just a dab of loctite on it :face-icon-small-con
