I have been asked if the SHOT system interferes with transceivers. So we did a test on the snow with a 2017 Summit X 850 165"(No SHOT) and a 2018 Freeride with SHOT 154".

Transceiver used for search was a BCA Tracker 3.
Transceiver transmitting was a BCA Tracker 2.

You need to be at least 3' away from the running snowmobiles while in search mode. We have found that any running snowmobile causes significant electrical interference.

Big question was, will the SHOT cause interference when the snowmobile is turned off?

With both these snowmobiles, the electrical interference subsided within a few seconds of the machine being shut off. Almost immediately , there was no interference.

The SHOT had no affect on the transceiver in the search mode with these two transceivers after the sled was shut off.

We only tested these two transceivers, and were happy with the results. Also happy to see these two snowmobile's electrical interference went away almost immediately after being turned off.
