Does NASA use the shuttle as a pirate craft?

I don't think they would waste the money on that but if they are then they better hurry up. Only about a half dozen more launches scheduled for the current shuttle fleet. The new shuttle (The ARES-1 & 5) under the Constellation Program won't be ready until 2015. That's only IF Mr. Obama doesn't cut the funding on it and send me and thousands of others out of work.

Besides we (ATK) just proved we can shoot down a satellite from the ground anyways! :D

interesting article...I'm surprised it took this long for it to hit the news. I work at AMOS (Airforce Maui Optical and supercomputing center) We have the biggest DOD electro optical telescope out here.

Edit: I was thinking of a different Sat. we track. I dont think we can see that one from out here.

FCC doesn't regulate space broadcasts.... just what originates from or causes interference with licensed stations in the US.

They could very well do that.

I don't see it happening though.

Saw you guys test fiing a rocket on TV the other night. That thing would roast your hotdogs, if you got too close. I doubt Obama cares about space very much. After all, the working people might leave. :)
