Does anyone know about radiant heat in a house

So, I have radiant (infrared) heat in the ceilings of my house. Two rooms quit working earlier this year. No breaker problems in the main panel. I took the thermostats off the wall and there are about 6 white and 6 black wires (power/common) tied together (black together, white together). Does anyone know how to test these types of systems? On the rooms that work, you can hear the thermostat click and then feel the heat but in the two rooms (next to each other by the way) you hear the click but nothing happens. I Have heard they can blow a wire but how do you determine where? Guess I might have to get off snowest and climb in the attic. Any ideas on where to start would be great. I have the meters to test a/c and am pretty well versed on normal 110 and 220 wiring....but this is above what I am used to, or have had explained to me...

Start at the thermstat and make sure you have power there . Then if all is good move to the attic and check all the units for power . The stat will still click even if there is no power all that is is the contacts closing.

Manowar, I am still thinking I better get in the attic tonight, seeing as I have no clue what up there.

Hottank, thanks for the lead on 1225. I will PM him tonight.
