Does anyone else think gun show guys are f*ckin wierd?

This past weekend there was a gunshow i went to, and the guys working there were WIERD. like whenever i would ask a question they would get all red talking about it (NOT newb questions), just details about some glocks and such that i was looking at purchasing. They looked they were gonna kill someone.

Then they had thier fat wives with little lab dogs in the corner sitting and staring.....:rolleyes:

anyone else have this experience?

Weird like the guy that sells ronco or shammie towels? Or weird like a real estate agent or used car salesman? Or weird like the wal-mart greeter, or 40 year old guy working at Wendy's?

I think there's a more macro trend here.

i quit going to the one that come to our town. every thing was junk and the bucket on my backhoe has more teeth then the people at the show. they bring there coin collections and knives. i did ask a guy about some silver dollars and other coins that i have and i got the same reaction as you did. ****ing hillbillies stay down in alabama with all of your garbage
 
They may be banjo pluckers and short a few teeth but I bet most of their 5 year old daughters are in beauty pageants :rolleyes:
I need to get to one of those gun shows. The way gang crimes are going in Vancouver these days we're all gonna need to pack heat soon. For now I'm packin my hockey stick and I'll cross check any gang banging little Mo-Fo straight into tomorrow!

You can find some great deals at those shows.
You just need to know what you are looking for and what the prices are.

The one thing you can usually count on is good prices on bulk ammo. You won't find great prices, but they are the standard prices you can find online.

500 rounds of 223 for 175 dollars.

Why are you at gun shows? I thought you had enough bling from your shady business deals to buy whatever you needed.
 
I was at one in town last weekend. Didn't see any deals - just overpriced junk. Just wanted a 9mm for plinking and couldn't find a decent price on even the used stuff. Bought a S&W from a dealer here today for a great price. The only bad thing was they were very low on ammo for it.
 
You gotta find the good shows and they are few and far between, Best one I've ever been to is the big show in Tulsa, OK. Good deals to be had there. That's where a lot of the small time dealers go to stock up for the small shows.
