does 09 d8 have a place for premium or ethanol chip?

Friend of mine said it needs to have a premium chip in the harness for premium gas. We can't find it.

LH side right above the clutch cover, two wires with a male and female bullet connector. Plugged in = no eth.

Mine are not plugged into each other and I'm running premium. Does that explain any loss of rpm's/power on top end?

Will bring it up a bit... Make sure your premeium does not have ethenol in it if you plug them together!

I've been leaving it unplugged. Safer that way. Got my power and rpm by clutching. Working good now.

I installed a water proof rocker switch so I could forget which is which (plugged or unplugged).

You can get away with this because you know how to ride your sled. But I wouldn't rec'd this to the other 95% of CFI riders.

I ran Shell v power premium(non ethanol) with a 5-10% ethanol resistor and i was running lean(white plugs)

After swapping to the non ethanol resistor and using the same shell vpower fuel(non ethanol) i have had no issues
