Dodge Sprinter as Daily D?

Not sure how long the Ford will hold out (170,000 mi. gas motor).
Looking at the cost of a new diesel pickup blows me away and seems hard to find a used one for much less.
Is there anyone out there who drives a Dodge Sprinter regularly? I deliver some decent sized furniture in my business at times and thought about a Sprinter van with 4 seats and the back area open for delivery space. Could travel w/ the family, use it for work, etc. Wondering how it would function towing a 4 place aluminum in the snow?
Anybody know of a company that modifies these things? Not the full on RV mod but not the utility delivery truck either, kind of a Hybrid?

I briefly looking into these a few years ago. They did not have 4x4 then, and does not appear to be 4x4 today. I do recall an AWD was available in the 1500 then. I don't see AWD or 1500 available today.

I suspect it would well for around town delivery. I would be dissapointed in the mountains. And, you might be confused for the Gosselins (Jon & Kate).

  • 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 making 154 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque
  • Properly equipped, the Sprinter can tow 5,000 pounds
