Well a few weeks ago I finally decided to install air bags onto my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 for towing a 27'x7' United in-line trailer. I found a guy selling a set of AirLift bags for 2001 F-250, so I bought them cheap and fabricated new brackets to fit my truck. The results have been just awesome. The ride height levels right out when I load the trailer up. The ride has improved by 100% by putting more weight back onto the front of the truck and helping the dynamics of the truck.
I had originally debated between Timbrens and air bags, but went with the bags. I put all brass fittings on the plastic lines and have had no problems with leaking and hoping they will hold up for years to the road salt in MN. The first few trips have been great, here are a couple of before and after pics.
