Dodge Injection Pump

Well it sounds like I need a injection pump for my 93'. What I would like to know is, what pump to go with? Possibly the P-pump from the newer years, or if someone knows of a good worked over VE from someone.
This current truck has the injection pump worked over. I would like to take it one step further, and get some HP out of it.
In fact, depending on cost, I may want to get a pump that will produce 500+hp.
Anyone know where to look? Any suggestions?

Thanks for the input.

i know the ve pretty well- if you havent ground some off the afc foot in combo w/ a ground afc cone {fuel pin} +max fuel screw, gov.spring and big injectors/ timing etc. you can do more. what have you done? i have p-pumped them too. what is your current set-up? the ve struggles to make high hp due to its inability to fuel heavy at hi rpm.

I am unsure of what is done to it. I bought this truck with the work already done. It has a full banks kit done to it with intercooler, turbo, exhaust, etc...
Towing, it pulled similar to my 07' stock, just didnt have the Hp.

When these go bad, what breaks?

sorry for slow response- do you have any gauges? is boost down? does it start and run at all? just wondering what its doing to make you think pump is bad. banks stuff doesnt add much power, good for airflow. if it still has stock injectors your leaving alot of power untapped. goff injection in salt lake area builds a good pump for a lower than most price if you need.

the biggest problem with the VE at high hp is RUNAWAY!

Seen it many times, sometimes you can catch it sometimes you cant, either rear end someone, or window the block!

Some of my buddies who have some really high hp VP first gens have air shut off's in the intake to stop the motor from spinning into orbit.

Well, I dont drive the truck every day, or often for that matter. But I get in a kick and like driving on occasion. I had just replaced the mechanical pump a few days before that happened, and then driving down the road she just died. No fuel, that I am sure of. Not sure of if the new mechanical pump failed.....not likely, or that because the mechanical pump failed, it ruined the VE.
However, I have not had time since this happened....a few months ago...to even look at. I towed it home and went on about my business. Now, I want it fixed.
As far as the banks, I will agree on the power, but for the older gen trucks, it is a great kit. Bigger intercooler, bigger compressor side on the turbo, 3 1/2" turbo back, intake, yada yada.....a good start. The truck has gauges, the pump has been worked over by Moonlight Diesel here locally by the original owner. The truck runs, infact it runs great....when it does......:o

could be as simple as loss of power to the shut-off selenoid. crack injector lines- check for fuel. i have a good spare pump. if you get desperate hual it over the hill, i just live south of logan.

Thanks for the offer. Maybe this weekend I will take some time to look at it....
