after removing the cotter pin on your top gear do you either:
1.) replace it with a new one
2.) use the same one again
3.) or just discard

i have never seen the top gear nut loosen and I am thinking about just torque to spec and toss the cotter pin???

If you don't use it and something comes loose, then you will have wished you had :) pretty cheap insurance if you ask me. they are so cheap and time wise it takes nothing to put them in or take out.

Got it.

Thanks guys.

Al, I am well. Spring riding which is the best riding of the year is just now moving into full swing. Snowpack here in Western MT is terrific. I suspect we will ride through the end of May this year. RIding in a T shirt and coming home with sunburn is amazing.

Still have 2 PSI motors for the Polariis chasis that, for some reason, have run well over the years............something must be dramatically wrong with them.

In anticipation of spring riding I just geared the Skidoo ZX down, put on the lightweight boss seat, and set the hood up to pop right off at the trailer.

Hope all is well with you and hope you have put on lots of safe miles this winter. Take Care.
