Do team clutch rollers go bad?

I am in the process of ordering new springs for my clutches as I am down about 200 peak RPMs this year for some reason and the backshifting doesnt seem as fast as last year. Do the rollers in the team clutches ever go bad or break? Wondering if I should order a few to have on hand or if that could possibley even be my problem. This is for my IQr

Yep

Just had my primary rebuilt at Polaris West. The mechanic (Brad) said the rollers and bushings were shot. One was even worn to the point it had a completely flat spot on it that the weight hung up on. I was having a terrible time getting rpm's as well, I have a feeling that probably was the main culprit. Brad took it out for a spin and said it ran great. Hopefully between the new reflash and my new primary it will be back to the sled it once was. My fingers are crossed. By the way it was an 09 dragon 800 with 1100 miles on it.

I am talking about the rollers in the team secondary clutch, but it could very well have a flat spot on the primary roller as well. It only has about 1000 miles on it so that kind of stuff really shouldnt be going bad already,I have had sleds with 10,000 miles on the origional primary rollers.

My boy has broke several rollers out of his team secondary. I have not. It is the very agressive jumpers that have a problem with breaking the rollers. Especially if you have an "er" helix. That problem is when you lock a brake in the air allowing the secondary to more or less shift to the reverse area of the slot, then grab a handful of throttle as you are landing. That "slop" allows it to realy slam hard and break out the rollers. I know a couple of other kids that are hard on them as well. Go to a straight helix and give up the reverse and it is not as big of an issue. Or just don't go so big!!!

All that to say, I really doubt that is your issue if you are only missing 200 rpm. When you break the rollers, you KNOW IT!
