Mine broke because the little plastic sleeve that screws into the recoil housing where the rope enters vibrated loose and my rope was rubbing on the threads. I have also heard of a few other Pro's, and some other polaris sleds that have done the same thing. So I put a dab of silicone on it when I fixed it in hopes that it will help it from vibrating loose. I've heard of people putting loc-tite on it as well, but I was out of loc-tite and didn't want to make a run up town to get more so I just used some silicone.Whats get me on this whole thing is why are these ropes braking!! Surly they can come up with a stronger solution. The aftermarket ones are so much better.
