Do I need to gap new spark plugs?

Local dealer says no, they are already gapped.

What's it hurt to check them takes less time than making a post.

Cause I'm lazy...and actually, by the time I look in the owner's manual to see the specs, then find my gapper and pull the spare plugs off my sled to check; well, making a post actually takes less time.

I always check new plugs, then a person knows 100%

I used to check. Never noticed a difference. Now I look and as long as it looks normally I put in.

old days - had to gap every plug - now manufacturing tech is so much better I haven't adjusted a plug gap in 20 years or better - now I just look at them to see if one may have gotten smashed or something and then run them.

Quick visual check to ensure nothing is obviously wrong, otherwise, throw them in.

If you have a turbo, then you should gap them down.
