Do grounding systems really do what they say they do?

i've seen them used on some cars, where to owners have a bad ground(ie: broken, corroded, etc.) in the system and don't want to spend the time to fix it. I'm a firm believer in that if everything is clean, then it's not needed. don't forget the cleanup the insulated side at the same time.

no. the fuel things don't work. the ground things are a waste of time.

The grounding system is to eliminate ground loops (unwanted current through the ground plane).

Common problem in test engineering, but not a big deal if the vehicle's in decent shape.

Eh.. It doesn't matter lol. I can't afford anything until I get a job. It's so hard for a High School kid to get a job you know? The problem is the plates are due on my truck this month and I can't afford them so I don't know what to do unless I find a job... (that also means no sledding )
