They are for the racer chassis. Were any mods needed for the boots? I will be running 41mm rack carbs on mine and I have brads billet boots for my lectrons. I am assuming I will need to bore them a bit to get the correct flow for the larger diameter carb.

Mind sharing what you guys run in the secondary for helix and spring in the stock 440 secondary? I have a grass drag in a few weeks and want to try a few different things.
Thanks,
Jim

We are running cat rollers with cutler button adaptors. Bob ran a 57/53 with a cutler red/white or a d&d black for trails. Haven't messed with the team's, too much $$$ in helix's and springs for not much difference in performance. I don't even have one, bob talked about messing with his.

Bearing locating ring groove on PTO end of case - what did you do?

Curiosity question for all who have put together one of these motors. The stock PWC case has a groove in the case in the appropriate location, but the groove isn't deep enough to accept the locating ring on the PTO end crank bearing. Did you modify the case or modify the locating ring to fit. Just test assembled my bottom end so I could check my squish measurement and found the fit problem, want to find out what is the most popular fix. Thanks!

Are you are talking about the crank bearing with a ring on it at the PTO end?
Once I saw a bearing with a thicker ring than what came OE on them. It only happened once, swapped out the bearing. It seemed to thick to slide into the case........

Or

Are you talking about the oil passage on the tip case not going over towards the crank end? I used a burr to carve it out so it looks like the mag oil passage.

take a old bearing and put the ring on it and belt sand it down so the diamiter is smaller thats the easy way to fix your problem .

Bearing locating ring

I was talking about the single bearing on the PTO end that has the locating ring diameter being too large to drop into the case groove - the bearing is OEM, so the ring is the correct diameter. I suspected simply grinding the ring down would be an acceptable fix, but I wanted to hear that from those who have "been there, done that".

trust me been there done that . That is how it is done or you can cut the case larger if you want but that is how it is done.

IQR 1200 questions for ya, what coolers do you guys run? U cooler? Anyone ran a live axle m-10 under one yet? Staring to think about next year, gen 2's getting a burial this year!

At least a small section with a double pass in the rear.

As for the M10 LA, I wouldnt run one if it was givin to me!

On that particular chassis or in general? I ran mine the last few trips last year and loved it on the gen 2, it works exactly how I was told it would. I don't jump at all, just climb and boondock. 6" ski lift on really vert stuff and about none on flat ground. lol.

questions about wc parts

what year 1050 or 1200 crankcase can you use? and will either 700 or 800 cyl bolt up?

any of the cases will work 700 cylinders will drop right on and you have to machine the case for the 800 cylinders imo just do the 800 cylinders no more price involved and alot more power. I have a case and cylinders ready to go if you are interested.

Ottar,

I'm glad you are happy with the sled. I spent alot of time, money and sweat taking care of it and I hope you enjoy the new ride. Send me photos of the first race trophy.

So how about heads?

Obviously 1200PSI's set up would be the ones to go with, and I know there is also a few others that make them. But why is it that you cannot use the stock WC heads, or can you?
