Carb flanges

The 600HO flanges are what you want for the 40mm rack carbs - Polaris had a run of bad ones a season or so ago and were selling replacements at a reasonable price. Maybe they still are. They fit the W/C case perfectly.

Thats what im using. another thing too..... the older Edge chain case has more room where the brake is by the carb vs the newer Escape chain case. the escape brake is tighter to the carbs.

Speaking of Escape vs Edge... I've seen these engines in 3 chassis: Gen II, Edge and a Cat (1M?).

Anyone done some research here on what chassi will hold one of these? Of the newer chassis any brand? What works best/rides best?

I know they wont fit in the IQ RMK and the RAW chassis from my understanding.

Oh yeah they work great in the prox chassis (edge setup with more bracing and support)

woody, will that intake boot fit the big watercraft intakes? are they a rubber boot? do you have any pics?

As the other guy said, the boot will fit the w/c case, they are rubber and low cost, you need to do drop and roll.
Yes i can try to take a picture of the calipel.
I have w/c 1200 in... Gen 2, edge and iq, my first w/c sled was a 94 indy Storm, but this chassi was to weak, the next was a 2001 Rmk 151" , i put the first w/c engine in to this sled in 2002 and i still have it:)
All of them will work but the racer is the strongest.
Somebody out there who have come up with a good solution to feed the w/c engine (carbs) in a iq chassi with cold frech air? this is the biggest problem with this chassi if you dont want to run it without the plastic, hot engineroom air = no power.............Pictures;)

I'm still not totally convinced that the engine wouldn't fit in my '07 Dragon. However, I do think pipes would be impossible unless you threw away the hood, perhaps the right side panel too. The IQR works because you can go up and over the top of the motor with pipes - otherwise I don't think the actual chassis is that much different.

hey if anybody still wants a HeRP clutch I've got one with a brocken spider I'd be willing to trade for a decent used p-85 or team, or a rack off a cat or mach-z, or something. Get this damn thing outa my shop, makes me mad just lookin at it! the caging, inner and outer sheeves and all that are good on it, just the spider is broke. Is HRP Brad still alive? Couldn't believe how hard that guy was to deal with right off the get go. If you want this clutch just let me know, open to about any offer.

On a positive note though, anyone mun a modified mach z rack on a 1200? Loved the lectrons but they don't really like snow dust @60mph and -30*c for 30 to 35 miles and the mikunis could about care less how cold it is. If anyone wants lectrons and wants to get rid of a rack set up could we make a deal? mine are 44's

oh yeah, forgot. What kind of packing do you guys re-pack your silencers with? I want to use good quality stuff, hearing test says I'm hurting myself. FMF stuff should work? How tight do you wrap it?
Also how much of a difference is there between a slp mountain 50/36 and a standard slp 50/36?
There's been talk of a comet four post set up up here that is supposed to be a good clutch as well, throw away cheap too, guy could buy three for the price of one HeRP. Anybody else hear good results on these? Or do they explode too?

1200 pipes

Anyone have a set of Jaws or SLP pipes for the 1200 for sale?
Edge or Gen 2.
No high altitude pipes, as I am at 0-3000'

To clearify on these bad boys: why does the bulkhead crack?

- power/torque?

- weight of engine (combined with jumping and smashing through moguls)?

- wrong setup of torque-stops and engine mounts?

- vibration? (1200 vs. 1050 on this one?)

Asking since some people talk about being on the 3rd chassi, while others still run their Gen 2 rmk going on the 6th season??

Mine cracked right were R8N and polarisrocks said it would near the chaincase running up the bulkhead and a few smaller ones towards the inside of the bulkhead. I think its a combination of power and vibration. I could always feel a high frequency vibration through my feet. The race motor mounts dont help either but what do ya do.

I'm using boots from an IQ chassis 600HO, but I'd suspect it depends on which chassis you're using. I'm working with a Pro-X. I believe the '05 Edge also had the HO motor - I suspect those boots have a different shape due to the different motor mounting configuration.

My Gen2 and Prox didn't crack. I stayed away from the edge chassis for fear of durability. So, I think it is a combination of "all of the above" also.

If ya only ride it like 10 times a year like i did last year they dont crack.........:D

MBR44....i think the boots need to be 06 or newer.
