DIY Vents
Well i made some vents, i didnt like how the mod rod vents went over
the "pro rmk". So i made some bomb proof vents the go over and right under the pro rmk. some may say its over kill, but i was gonna make sure no snow got in.

Supplies needed.
- 1/16" abs plastic
- Trampoline material - Finer and stronger than bug or pet screen.
- Slp Prefilter
- Glue Gun
- Rivets

Tools:
-drill
- hole saw
- 3/16 bit.

I hole sawed out the plastic, trace out the holes on the panel to be hole sawed, then layed down slp prefilter on the back side, then go over the front with the trampoline material. These were the two best materials i could think of.

I made the vents on either side of the pro rmk, cuz i liked the halo affect coming through, and i didnt want half a "p" showing half a "o".. you get the idea. Kinda messed up on the hole sawing as i was pushing my luck trying to get as many holes in as i can but instead of extra wholes and my panel folding, i just left it as is, not the best pattern lol.
This lower one will be right by the cluches and should let good heat out.

This would be a good option for guys not wanting to cover there graphics.

Gmustang if I read your post right you said you put the prefilter on one side and the tampoline mat. on the other side of the abs you bought. If that is the case you may have troubles with snow getting in between the two, I know i did the same thing and had that trouble. I had to cut it apart and redo it. This is the one i made for my dragon.

hmm ill have to keep an eye on that, i just wrapped the trampoline mat around to the back, so all the glue stays on the back not to be seen.

That is what I did was wrap the petscreen around and glued to the back. The mistake I made was I glued the prefilter mat on the back side so it left a 1/16 inch gap between the prefilter and the petscreen. I ended up having to put the prefilter on the outside along with the petscreen and wrap both around and glue on the back. This way it did not leave that void between the two materials. You may not have troubles But mine did when the snow was dry, it just went straight through the petscreen.

Ya i can see what your saying, hopefully the tramp material being finer than bug screen will repel better,as long as snow isnt getting on the clutches its doing its purpose... if i was to do it again i would wrap both on the outside like you said, its done now, so time will tell how it performs.

Are you the one who cut the center out of my trampoline?
Nice job where did you get the trampoline material I was looking for it when I built mine.

I just bought one of those mini trampolines off craiglist for $20 (3ft diameter).
Some old guy i bought it off thought i was gonna use it for excercising :face-icon-small-con

How did the trampoline material work?

The material worked fine, no snow came through.

It was an experiment that i probably wouldt do again, the reason i did it because i wanted the "pro rmk" to pop through under the wrap, which it does and i like it, but the vents didnt turn out as i had pictured and no aftermarket company makes them so your stickers are un affected there...
