Ditching the 900...

Anyone interested in a 900? I'm selling my 06 with a 151 track, MBRP silencer, 4" riser, SLP intake prefilters, rad. deleted, USI skis, TPS all good, airbox gutted, and ported track. It's pretty close to mint condition. About 1900 miles. Do you guys think 4800 is too much on this? She runs awesome I'm just a bit tired of the weight as I am only 170 with clothes on.

170 pounds? put a turbo on it and youll be able to climb higher than anyone else period! lol

Im 165 with clothes on and my 900 is PERFECT. I think you'll easily get 4800 out of it, I see people on craigslist still trying to get 6800 out of there's with 2500miles on them.

This may be a stupid question, but have you pulled the sway bar out of it?

My buddy was going to sell his last year until we pulled the sway bar out because it was just too much of a beast, now he loves it.

Just a thought if you haven't:beer;

Yeah I was thinking of pulling the sway bar, but I'll need new shocks for sure. I don't want to put a bunch of money into it ya know. I like the power but the pig just won't float. Even with the powder skis. The front end is just too friggin heavy. I'll probably be stuck with her though since snowmobiles aren't moving right now.

I was thinking of selling mine also....to get a 2011 Pro RMK, but decided that the lack of snow this year that I would hold onto it one more season, especially with the fact that nobody is buying!

I have had non stop isues with mine this year (dang rocks) thought about selling it but why would you want to go down in power.

Take the sway bar out, I weigh about 170 also with gear on, I still have stock shocks and really like it. Another big thing is get the 225# front track spring, makes the front end feel a lot lighter. Two really cheap mods you can do that will get you major improvement.

Pull the sway bar out, set the skis to the widest setting and try a 225lb front track spring if the front still feels too heavy. That sway bar makes a HUGE difference in the whole feel of the sled.:beer;

The only reason I'm worried about taking the sway bar out is that I have heard you will blow out the shocks if you do any jumping. I have recently started going bigger on jumps/ drops and don't want that to happen. Might try the 225# spring though.

If you look around on this forum you can find a set of Fox Zero Pros's for around $200 - $250. Shocks can be 17" up to 17 3/8" Center to Center. There are a few for sale off of Artic cats that will work just will have green springs that you can have painted.

Like everyone said get rid of that sway bar, skis all the way out and put some zero pros on. Also move your limiter straps all the way out and that will help it feel lighter.
