I asked this question in the General Section, someone said that if you completely disconnect the oil pump linkage and let it fully return it will revert to full oiling.
My experience this weekend leads me to believe that it reverts to idle oiling.
This is backed up by the fact that I have heard people having to zip tie their oil pump arms wide open to allow for turbo oiling.
Bottom line is that I ended up disconnecting my oil pump linkage (oil tank and line still intact going to oil pump) and premixing my fuel.
My 07 turbo M8 had the best off idle and bottom end response it has ever had and possibly is the best of any turbo I have ever ridden!
Anyone run into bog issues from oil pumps that were not sticking? I have read about the sticky oil pumps and have always cleaned / lubed mine, it was never stuck.
If the pump does revert to full oiling, I think i'm going to be burning through a lot of oil in the future cause this sled must like 10:1 ratio!
