Direct Shot into Gallahger?

Has anyone gone up through De Roux or Middle Fork Teanaway to reach Gallahger? I kind of scouted a route on bikes this year, and I would have sworn I read about a route last year? All that road sucks otherwise.

SHHHHhhhhh.....;)

AR you could never handle the middle fork route unless you trade in the skidont

the river is a real issue and the last crossing up past the jolly creek trail is almost not possible unless there is a lot of snow.....after that there are two options over the top. both are not nice and one is not possible coming back without a turbo unless the snow is just right, the other you better like trees cause there is only one way off the top in the trees because of the Cornice thats runs the length of the mountain. almost forgot about the Avy danger is very bad getting to that last climb.....in all not worth it

I've done De Roux Creek on a bike, not a sled. Probably possible, but not any easier. Not to mention the long drive up the N. Fork of Teanaway to get started........Middle Fork? OMG, no thanks.....

i was talking with my dad about that the other day he has been hunting in there since 1960 and ive been up the derux trail into the jolly basin and i have to say i went in the middle fork of the teanaway and there is 17 creek crossings one way thank god i was riding a trials bike but from looking at quadrangles its really steep getting over the top ie no room for error.has anyone ever sledded up to hex mountain or sasse if so how is it thanks

Sledded up Hex, but no further.

I did those 17 creek crossings once on an IT-465 riding by myself. Had to lift it over a lot of fallen logs also. Glad it was a 90 degree day when I went face first into the river coming back.......
