Diffrens between the Mtn tammer skids..?

Hi,

I'm havin' thoughts of buyin' a MTN tammer for my Yamaha Mountain Max 700..

I've been lookin' in some threads and on their website. But I can't see the diffrens between the suspensions.

For example, what's the difference between a M-series MTN Tammer and a APEX MTN tammer?

Because I've seen a few used skids with a great price.. So if I buy a used MTN Tammer that is manufactured to fit in a M-series will It fit on for example NYTRO rails?

it is all about the geometry (angles) not all have hte same angles and pieces lengths...

give Allen @ timbersled a call, he will help even if you are trying to locate in the used category...as it helps him if even used they have good value...

Thanks, it was the answer I was looking for.

Or one more thing, How will a MTN Tammer NYTRO skid fit on the NYTRO rails?
Have a friend who thinks I should buy ICEAGE rails instead, but I don't see any purpose in that?

it's easier to use iceage rails as they are premade for the mtn tamer skid. with your stock rails u gotta cut and drill

Apex or Nytro will fit your Mtn. Max, Cat will not work. If your looking for a used one call me on Monday. Thanks, Budd

You say cut? Found out on an other forum, that I only need to drill new holes?
What do I need to cut then?

You have to cut the rear suspension mounting tab off of the rails, and install a new tab provided with the kit... at least on the nytro - yer sled may be different. Give Budd a call.

apex suspension mount tabs also have to be cut

Here's a Nytro/Apex 162 rail we make, rear tab has holes for the stock and timblersled skid, no cutting/drilling/measuring/head scratching required.

We also have a timbersled only rail (no stock suspension holes)

it is not that difficult to cut yours...I did that, then went to longer track and bought the IceAge...
